Web Live Wallpaper

Web Live Wallpaper is another geeky one.  It's basically a moving "Voronoi Tesselation".  If you care about what that is, each cell contains all the points closest to the main point.  The lines represent all the spots that are equal distance to another point.

As with a lot of stuff in math and nature, all that technical stuff just ends up making something cool looking.  In this case a cool looking web.  This wallpaper contains quite a few settings to control colors, and you can also make the points move via touch.

The Burbs Live Wallpaper

The Burbs Live Wallpaper is probably one of our most graphically intense live wallpapers.  The intent was to make your phone background feel like you were looking off the front porch of your house, and just see people walking, cars driving along, and have the seasons change.  We also added a customizable garden that actually grows!  You can even choose what type of flower goes in each spot.

Tons and tons (maybe too many) settings to play with.  Overall, a very fun, immersive live wallpaper.  Enjoy it!

Hynotic Spiral Live Wallpaper

Your getting sleeeepy.

The hypnotic spiral live wallpaper is a collection of hi res-spiral rotating on your background.  Guaranteed to help you lose weight, stop smoking, fall asleep, or hypnotize your friends (RESULTS MAY VARY AND PROBABLY NOT EXIST).

On Dubs Live Wallpaper

For all the car lovers out there, now your phone can be rollin' on dubs.  This live wallpaper contains a collection of rims rolling along on your background.  Speed is adjustable, so all that's left to do is pump your brakes and drive slow

Lava Lamp Live Wallpaper

Being a geek, Lava Lamp live wallpaper is one of my all time favorites.  It uses actual heat physics to attempt a lava lamp simulation.  There is a "heat gradient" (hotter at the bottom, cooler at the top) that causes the blobs to heat up and start to float when they are at the bottom of the screen.  When they're on top, it's cool enough that they start to cool and sink back down.

I also like the fact you can create some color combos that you couldn't get with a real lava lamp.  Or, you can set it up to be a new color whenever you turn your screen on.

Check it out.

Make It Rain Live Wallpaper

See More Apps

We're all just tryin to make a dollar out of 15 cents.

Make it Rain actually came about from a random email we got.  Someone just asked, "Can you make a live wallpaper that rains money?".  We said "sure, why not" and took it from there.  The popularity was completely unexpected.  Sometimes good ideas come from unexpected places.

Technically, Make It Rain has been through a large progression.  It started out using Android graphics, which at the time weren't performing too well, so we re-wrote the entire thing using Open GL and resulted in much better performance.

It's time to Make It Rain!!!

Christmas Town Live Wallpaper

See More Apps

Just a Quaint little Christmas Village.

When we decided to do this live wallpaper, we wanted something visually interesting that really felt like Christmas.  For us, that meant decorated houses and trees, getting the day off of school because of snow, snowmen, and of course Santa.

From a technical standpoint, it gave us a chance to polish the frame animation engine we've been writing, and experiment with parallax backgrounds, which has the different layers move at different speeds like Mario.

We hope you like it, and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

Arachnophobia Live Wallpaper

See More Apps (from Android phone)

Arachnophobia Live Wallpaper is a live wallpaper where spiders swarm your phone.  It came about as a natural extension of the Infestation Live Wallpaper with roaches.  People in general hate bugs, and since we at Black Market Apps love apps that invoke a strong emotional reaction even if that reaction is creepiness, we tried to make it as gross as possible :)

Dont worry they aren't real... But they are cool.

Infestation Live Wallpaper

See More Apps

Roaches are disgusting.  So why not make a live wallpaper out of them?

We really tried to invoke a sense that the phone is just infested with roaches in this live wallpaper.  Closing a window has the same effect as turning on the lights in a roach filled room, they all scatter.  We also added a "flood" mode which features as many roaches as possible busting out of what looks like a hole in the background.

We showed all our friends and they were disgusted...  So we knew we were done.
